Welcome to Karigar Samarthan (“we,” “us,” “our,” “the Platform”), operated by J.S. Trust. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Karigar Samarthan mobile application and associated storefront (jstrust.in). By creating an account, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. ELIGIBILITY AND REGISTRATION

Karigar Samarthan is intended for artisans and craftspeople (“Karigars,” “Sellers,” “you”) who wish to list and sell handmade products. To register, you must provide your full name, store name, and a valid Indian phone number, which is verified by one-time password (OTP). You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate and for all activity that occurs under your account.

2. SELLER RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Seller, you agree that:

• All product listings — photos, titles, descriptions, prices, and quantities — are accurate and represent items you have the right to sell.
• You are the maker or authorized seller of any handmade or handcrafted item you list.
• You are responsible for fulfilling orders, including packing and shipping items to customers in a timely manner, and for providing accurate tracking information once an order ships.
• Product prices are set by you, in Indian Rupees (₹), and represent the full amount payable by the customer.

3. PROHIBITED ITEMS AND CONTENT

The following may not be listed, described, photographed, or otherwise offered for sale on the Platform, regardless of how an item is labeled or categorized:

• Firearms, ammunition, explosives, or weapons of any kind.
• Illegal drugs, narcotics, or drug paraphernalia.
• Any part or product derived from a wild or protected animal species, including but not limited to horns, skulls, antlers, taxidermy, pelts, skins, teeth, claws, or feathers — regardless of whether the species is
  commonly assumed to be protected. (This does not include ordinary,
  legally sourced livestock byproducts, such as buffalo horn or bone craft.)
• Alcohol or tobacco products.
• Explicit, suggestive, or otherwise obscene content, including images depicting nudity or a person in a suggestive manner, regardless of how the item is described.
• Counterfeit goods, or any item bearing a brand name, logo, or trademark you are not authorized to use.
• Any other item whose sale is prohibited under applicable Indian law, including but not limited to the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972; the Arms Act, 1959; the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985; and
  the Trade Marks Act, 1999.

Listings are automatically screened by an AI-based content review system before publication. Listings identified as violating this policy will be blocked from publishing, and a record of the attempt may be retained for compliance purposes. If you believe a listing was blocked in error, contact support (see Section 9).

Violation of this section may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, in addition to any liability you may hold under applicable law.

4. CONTENT MODERATION AND TRANSLATION

To support Sellers who create listings in their own language, product content submitted in a language other than English is automatically translated for display to customers and other users. You are responsible for the accuracy of your original submission; automated translation and AI-suggested titles, descriptions, and categories are provided as a convenience and may not always be perfectly accurate.

5. PAYMENTS

Karigar Samarthan does not process or hold customer payments on your behalf. Payments are made by customers directly to the UPI ID or bank account you provide during account setup.

The Platform does not currently charge Sellers a commission or listing fee. You are solely responsible for any taxes applicable to your sales.

6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

You retain ownership of the content (photos, descriptions, and other
material) you upload. By listing a product, you grant Karigar Samarthan a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, translate, and distribute that content on the Platform and its associated storefront for the purpose of operating the marketplace.

7. ACCOUNT SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION

We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, listed a prohibited item, engaged in fraudulent activity, or otherwise misused the Platform.

8. DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Karigar Samarthan facilitates connections between Sellers and customers but is not a party to the transaction between them and is not responsible for disputes, damages, or losses arising from a sale. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Karigar Samarthan’s liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Platform is limited to the amount of fees paid to us in the preceding 12 months, if any.

10. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date above.

11. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Delhi/DELHI.
