No Child Should Have to Choose Between Books and a Meal
Under our Shiksha Sahayak initiative, we support children and young adults from low-income families so they can stay in school, finish their education, and pursue their dreams – without dropping out due to money problems.
What We Provide
- Tuition Support: For school and college students struggling with fees
Exam & Admission Help: We assist with form fees, entrance test costs, etc.
Mentoring & Career Guidance: Volunteers guide students with academic and career choices
Educational Materials: Books, stationery, school bags, uniforms, and digital tools
Our Students' Success
When JS Trust’ s Shiksha Sahayak “ adopts ” a child’ s education needs, we make a promise to them to support their needs at least up to 12th Grade. With this structure, students learn and thrive in a positive environment.
Primary
Youth in grades KG – 8 receive financial aid to cover tuition, books, and fees. 82% of primary students sponsored by Shiksha Sahayak passed their math & science core classes.
Secondary
Students in Grades 9 –10 receive tutoring and financial aid to continue their education. 65% of 10th Grade students sponsored successfully passed their secondary board exams.
Higher Secondary Since inception, the number of students who complete 12th Grade have increased every year. These students embark on college and career-orientated educations, ensuring success and readiness for their futures.
Our goal is to achieve a 100% pass rate among the sponsored students who take their higher secondary board exams.

Shikshaya Sahayak also provides annual scholarships in two forms: the RCR Memorial Scholarship in St. Joseph’ s College, Tiruchirapalli and the Jayanti Educational Trust in Bihar.

Our Path Forward
Shiksha Sahayak is proud to report another year of strong support from our amazing donors who enable us to serve more schoolchildren than ever. As we look ahead toward supporting new communities, we remain committed to fiscal prudence to ensure sustainability for each student we support.
Our funding model ensures that although the donors have the flexibility in choosing the frequency and extent of their donations, we make sure that female students, especially, once educationally adopted, continue to have our support till the end of their higher secondary school tenure.
Looking forward, we are planning to build educational resource centers for students in Delhi NCR in coming years. The purpose of these centers will be to provide in-house tutoring, learning centers, computer labs, healthy afterschool meals, and more.
